Samsung Galaxy AI Features Coming to These Devices: Check if Yours is on the List
Date: 12 Apr 2024
Samsung has recently made an exciting announcement that is set to enhance the user experience of their older flagship devices. Starting next month, Samsung plans to introduce Galaxy AI features to its 2021 and 2022 flagship lineups, including the Galaxy S21, S22, Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 3, and Galaxy Z Flip 4. This update, which will be part of the One UI 6.1 update expected in early May, promises to bring 'Galaxy S23 FE level AI' features to these devices.
However, it's important to note that not all features available on the latest models will make their way to older devices. Certain functionalities, such as Instant Slow-Mo, will be absent, aligning the offering with the Galaxy S23 FE's capabilities rather than the full suite available on the newest Galaxy S24 series.
List of Devices Getting Galaxy AI Features:
- Galaxy S22, S22+, S22 Ultra
- Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4
- Galaxy Tab S8, S8+, S8 Ultra
- Galaxy S21, S21+, S21 Ultra
- Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3
In addition to the above, Samsung has also announced the inclusion of support for three new dialects in Galaxy AI, enhancing the user experience for a wider audience. These new additions include Australian English, Cantonese, and Canadian English, with plans to introduce support for more languages later in the year.
This update marks a significant step by Samsung to extend the lifespan and improve the experience of their existing devices. By bringing flagship-level AI features to older models, Samsung is ensuring that their users continue to enjoy a premium experience without the need to constantly upgrade to the latest hardware.
Users of eligible devices can look forward to enjoying these new features in early May, following the One UI 6.1 update. This move not only adds value to Samsung's older flagship models but also highlights the company's commitment to supporting its products long after their initial release.
